The Island Hospital Employee of the Month for March is Medical Staff Coordinator Liz Wingard.

Liz has had a number of roles during her time at Island Hospital. She started as a certified nursing assistant in Acute Care and then moved to the role of executive secretary in Administration. Most recently, Liz has taken over as medical staff coordinator. In this role, Liz serves as an essential link between senior management and the medical staff to promote good communication. She ensures compliance with practitioner credentialing and privileging processes. Liz is always friendly, caring and willing to help. Her coworkers agree, “Liz is positive and uplifting.” Over the years, Liz has served on a number of committees including Employee Council and Employee Wellness.

Since her arrival in 2013, Liz has characterized Island Hospital’s Promise to consistently provide the best customer service to our patients, families, guests and colleagues. Congratulations and thanks for being an inspiration, Liz!
