Warren Tessler has over 27 years of healthcare management experience working in executive positions for hospitals across the United States. In addition to his professional experience, Tessler has a diverse background with volunteerism and community service.

Tessler received his Bachelor of Arts in political science and Russian language from Arizona State University and his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Portland State University in Oregon. He also received technical training from Johnson and Wales University in Providence, RI, earning a diploma in baking and pastry arts.

In addition to his academic achievements, Tessler has become a prominent figure in the local community with both his business accomplishments and his dedication to civic duty. After moving to Anacortes in 2000, Tessler became well-known as the owner and pastry chef of La Vie en Rose Bakery in downtown Anacortes. He also served as Director of Marketing and Operations for Anacortes’ Trust Accounting Center.

Along with serving as the President for Island Health’s Board of Commissioners, Tessler is the President of the Anacortes Parks Foundation, Treasurer for the Anacortes Family Center, chairs the Guemes Channel Trail Planning Committee, and is an active member of the Anacortes Kiwanis Noon Club. In addition, he co-chairs the Anacortes Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisor Committee and directs the annual Anacortes Open Streets event.

Tessler has become a passionate leader within the community because he feels public services should support and enhance the lives of local citizens.
