Family Nurse Practitioner Janelle Peranteau

Island Health is pleased to welcome family nurse practitioner Janelle Peranteau, FNP to Island Primary Care – 24th Street. No stranger to Anacortes, Peranteau previously worked as a certified nurse assistant in acute care at Island Health a decade ago. After a few moves across the country, she returned in 2019 where she’s been a registered nurse at Island Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine.

Peranteau recently earned a Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner from Gonzaga University. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Pennsylvania State University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of West Florida.

Chief Medical Officer Jason Hogge, MD, is excited to add Peranteau to the clinic.

“We’ve been lucky to have Janelle with us for the last few years, and we’re thrilled to welcome her to our 24th Street clinic as a family nurse practitioner. Her experience will allow us to expand access to care, strengthen our team and offer more options to our patients.”

Peranteau sees the healthcare journey as a very personal experience. She enjoys spending time with her patients to build trusting relationships that address their individual needs. Working as a nurse in various settings has given her a unique perspective.

“I have seen the value of continuing patient education and empowering people with the community resources they need to help them thrive outside of the clinical setting,” Peranteau said. “I strive to combine a holistic approach with evidence-based medicine to help every patient reach their goals for optimal health and well-being.”

When she’s not at work, Peranteau enjoys hiking, camping or exploring the beach with her husband and two young children. She is also an avid reader and trail runner.
