Areas of Professional Interest

I have specialty training and interest with trauma, depression and anxiety. With over 20 years of professional experience, I practice with a variety of approaches to match the patient’s learning style and issues they are facing. Social workers are trained to look at the individual strengths and problems in the context of their environment and community, using a bio-psych-social perspective. I use cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavior and educational approaches, among others. With older adults and their families, work often involves exploration of resources as people approach life changes.
