The Island Hospital Employee of the Month for April is Medical Records Clerk Marie Phillips.

As a medical records clerk, Marie is in charge of managing patient confidential records at Island Hospital. Her duties include assisting customers with release of information requests, scanning records, processing patient referrals, and assisting with audits. Marie is exemplary in her interactions with patients, co-workers and providers. She is eager to learn and eager to help. Marie is considered the go-to person for ambulatory records processes – she is a wealth of information and willing to share it! Her supervisor notes, “Marie has an excellent work ethic and it shows in all she does. She is a great asset to the Medical Records team!”
