Effective 4/30/2024: The U.S. Preventive Task Force recommends that all women get screened for breast cancer every other year, starting at age 40 and continuing through age 74.

Striving to Help Patients Feel Comfortable
What do you enjoy most about being a mammography technologist?
I enjoy the core group of women I work with as we share a lot of laughter and support one another. We work seamlessly together to provide compassionate care. Our collective years of mammography knowledge between our team is almost 70 years.
What’s the most rewarding part of your job?
Getting to know our community through each patient we touch.
Why did you become a mammography technologist?
When I was a young adult, I had my own health concern with a breast lump. The mammography technologist took kind and gentle care of me during that appointment at a time when I was scared. The kindness and compassion she showed me is what I hope to pass along to every patient I see.

Although a mammogram can be uncomfortable, both in compression and the process, we strive to help our patients feel comfortable, while giving them our best care.
