Employee Council’s Coats for Kids fundraiser a success
This year marked the 10th anniversary of Coats for Kids, a fundraising event in which staff and volunteers donate funds to purchase coats for students in the Anacortes School District. At the beginning of the campaign an email is sent to school counselors asking for a list of students who are in need of a winter coat. The students provide their size and color/style preference so that our Coats for Kids shoppers can purchase something that the students will truly be excited about and happy to wear!
The Coats for Kids fundraiser is sponsored by the Island Hospital Employee Council. Thanks to the generous staff and volunteers at Island Hospital, more than $2500 was donated and 47 coats purchased for the 2019 campaign!
