The Island Hospital Employee of the Month for December is Maintenance Engineer Brent Adkison.

As a maintenance engineer, Brent has the knowledge and skills necessary to perform installations, repairs and preventive maintenance in all general areas of maintenance for the hospital. He cheerfully steps up to complete tasks and often takes the initiative to correct a deficiency that he’s identified on his own. Brent is an experienced electrician and is knowledgeable with all mechanical tasks. In addition, Brent assists in managing the phone system for the hospital. His supervisor notes that, “Brent is a real asset, not just to the engineering team, but to the hospital at large.”

Since his arrival in 2015, Brent has characterized Island Hospital’s Promise to consistently provide the best customer service to our patients, families, guests and colleagues. Congratulations and thanks for being an inspiration, Brent!
