Island Infusion Center

Hours

Monday–Thursday
8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

Island Health has been working diligently to find a partner to keep medical oncology services local. During this transition, Island Health Nurse Navigators will assist each patient in coordinating services and appointments with a regional cancer care center.

We continue to provide non-chemotherapy infusion services at Island Health. Please see our services below.

Services Provided

At Island Infusion Center, we are dedicated to providing our patients with the latest medical infusions. Our convenient location allows patients to remain close to home and under the care of our clinical nursing staff for their infusion therapy.

Infusions deliver medication directly into your bloodstream, so they work faster and more effectively than other methods. Whether you’re managing infection, pain or a vitamin deficiency, we offer a range of specialty infusions to treat both short-term and long-term conditions. Our services include:

  • Non-chemotherapy medication administration, for example:
    • Pregnancy: Fluids, anti-emetic medication, iron
    • Bone infections: Antibiotic treatments
    •  Immunodeficiency and neurological conditions: Intravenous Immunoglobulin Therapy
    • Osteoporosis: Reclast
    • Anemia: Iron or Retacrit
    • Blood product transfusion
  • Chemotherapy*
  • Private visits with a physician and a nurse practitioner*
  • Referral to radiation therapy*
  • Personalized genomic therapy*

*During our medical oncology provider transition, we collaborate with a regional cancer care center for these services.

Our team of professionals are focused on providing a warm and welcoming environment for patients and families. Our center’s infusion room offers breathtaking views of Mt. Baker, the Salish Sea and Cascade Mountains.

Island Infusion Center is an Island Health-affiliated clinic. Patients seeking care at this clinic may receive a separate billing for a facility fee. This fee could result in higher out-of-pocket expenses. Patients should contact their insurance company to determine coverage for hospital-based facility charges.
