Dr. Jason Blair is passionate about family medicine with obstetrics because of the opportunity it provides to play a role in the health of an entire family, through each individual. He is keen to to explore the full scope of family medicine by partnering with patients for positive change in their health so that they can flourish in other areas of their lives.

In a recent interview, Dr. Blair shares more about his clinical interests and why he chose Island Health.

Q: What do you enjoy most about being a family medicine provider?

A: I love family medicine with obstetrics because of the opportunity it provides for me to play a role in the health of an entire family, through each individual. My mission is to bring hope and healing to patients so that they can do the same for their families and communities.

Q: What are some of your clinical interests?

A: I am particularly interested in promoting the mother-father-child triad and using the unique role of the family physician to partner with patients for positive change in their health so they can flourish in other areas of life.

Q: How do you like to spend your time when not seeing patients?

A: When I am out of the office, I enjoy being involved in my local church, reading a mix of history, theology and philosophy texts, partaking in a good fermented beverage, and enjoying eclectic food and music. I also love teaching each of my four children the art of making the perfect espresso shot.

Q: Why did you choose Island Health?

A: My wife, four children and I are excited to be part of the Anacortes community, and look forward to exploring the surrounding outdoor opportunities it presents, especially the local beaches.
