Island Health’s Board of Commissioners continued their business into the new year at their Jan. 25 regular board meeting, but not before taking time to honor the passing of employee Dyani Wetcher, who gave 39 years of service to the hospital.

“On behalf of the Island Hospital Board of Commissioners and our Administration, we wish to express our deepest and sincerest condolences on the loss of (Wetcher),” the board said in a letter to Wetcher’s family.
