The Island Hospital Employee of the Month for April is Patient Access Admissions Specialist II Christina Cisneros.

Throughout her eight years at Island Hospital, Christina has continually strived to complete courses or training to advance her position. She has become a great resource for her coworkers and has taken on the role of primary trainer within Patient Access. Christina has a calm and professional way of clearly explaining the roles and functions of an Admissions Specialist so that new staff don’t feel overwhelmed. In addition, she provides helpful suggestions for improving processes and workflows for her team. Her supervisor notes that Christina, “is very thorough in all that she does. When I think of staff that truly care about the quality of their work, Christina is always the first that comes to mind!”
