The Island Hospital Employee of the Month for December is Emergency Department certified nursing assistant and health unit coordinator, Seth Fitzgerald, CNA.

In his position, Seth collaborates with the clinical team to coordinate all aspects of patient care and transition out of the Emergency Department. He is an extremely positive person and one co-worker commented, “If you can find one person who has a single negative thing to say about Seth, I’d be baffled.” His character speaks for itself; He always greets patients and co-workers with a smile and maintains a calm presence. Seth is a natural leader and we are very excited to announce that he has been admitted to nursing school. In his free time, Seth volunteers with the youth group at his church and enjoys fishing.

Since his arrival in 2017, Seth has characterized Island Hospital’s Promise to consistently provide the best customer service to our patients, families, guests and colleagues. Congratulations and thanks for being an inspiration, Seth!
