As Island Health’s multi-faceted Emergency Services Project nears completion, the Emergency Department will become a secured unit beginning this week. This change will enhance the safety of our patients and staff.

For all non-emergency services, including diagnostic imaging, lab and surgery during regular business hours, Monday–Friday, 6 a.m.–6 p.m.* and Saturday, 7:30 a.m.–1 p.m., patients should register at the Main Entrance (24th Street). Please note that this entrance is closed on Sundays.

The ED entrance should only be used by emergency patients and those who need after-hours access to the hospital. All after-hours appointments and visitors will register in the ED.
