The first phase of the multi-faceted Emergency Services Project at Island Health will wrap up next month, with completion of the Main Entrance lobby off of 24th Street. To facilitate the completion of the lobby, a temporary reroute through the courtyard will be in place from November 27 through December 8. During this period, please follow the designated signage and instructions to ensure a smooth transition into and out of the Main Entrance.

Once complete, this Main Entrance will house six registration desks and a central greeter station. Patients seeking to access laboratory services, diagnostic imaging, or surgical services will use the Main Entrance during regular business hours, Monday―Friday 6:30 a.m.―6 p.m., Saturday 7:30 a.m.―1 p.m. The ED entrance will only be used for ED patients and after-hours access to the hospital via an employee-badged access point.
