Simon Shapiro new provider at Sports and Spine

Dr. Simon Shapiro, DO, joined Island Sports & Spine as a new Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation provider, also known as a physiatrist. Shapiro comes with extensive interventional pain management experience earning a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Toura College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York, NY, as well as a Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine in Santa Monica, CA.

Shapiro’s clinical interests and expertise include interventional spine/pain medicine, musculoskeletal medicine, combat sports medicine and interactive medicine. He enjoys helping patients better understand their condition and providing safe treatment options to maximize their function.

“My goal is to offer world class care right here in our local community,” he said.
