In a letter to Governor Jay Inslee and multiple state officials this week, Island Hospital CEO Charles Hall, MSN, MBA voiced the hospital’s deep frustration with the lack of vaccine allotments to our community.

“Our community has more than 7,000 individuals in the Phase 1B1 population and for the past four weeks Island Hospital has received zero first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. We feel this is unacceptable and that Island Hospital has fallen through the state’s vaccine allocation plan.,” said IH CEO Charles Hall.

Leadership at Island Hospital is working to open up communication with the state to get clear guidance for our community on how and when to expect the vaccine.
