Lisa Melody, PA-C, joined Fidalgo Medical Associates this month as part of the Women’s Health team. Melody earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, CA. Her work in obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) includes physician assistant at MOMDOC Women for Women in Scottsdale, AZ and at Capital Region OB/GYN in Latham, NY. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

Melody’s undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley is in psychology and social welfare, and she spent several years providing home behavioral therapy for children with Autism. After working in family and sports medicine, Melody chose to focus on the OB/GYN field because she enjoys helping women understand and feel confident about their bodies throughout all stages of their lives.

“I strive to collaborate with patients to provide individualized care and educate women so they can make informed decisions about their healthcare,” she said.

Chief Medical Officer Dr. Jason Hogge is excited about the addition of Melody to the Women’s Health team and says Melody’s experience rounds out the team perfectly.

Melody’s hobbies include hiking and paddle boarding with her husband and three children, and daily walks with Luke, their Husky dog, in the Anacortes Community Forest Lands. When she is able to carve out some personal time in her busy schedule, Melody also enjoys using her creative talents painting, wood burning and building live edge wood tables.
