Renovations underway at Island Health
Island Health’s Emergency Department is undergoing construction work which will take approximately three months.
The construction work may result in patients being relocated to different hospital areas while renovations are underway. The renovation work began on Nov. 13.
Upon completion, the hospital’s main entrance off of 24th street will function as the front door to the hospital and outpatient services. The emergency department will only be used for after-hours access to the hospital for visitation and emergency department patients.
Island Health anticipates finalizing construction in the Main Entrance by the end of the year.
