Island Hospital primary care clinics have been getting a lot of inquiries about flu vaccine availability from patients. Getting a flu vaccine is more important than ever during the COVID-19 pandemic to protect yourself from getting the flu and to help reduce the strain on the healthcare system. The CDC recommends that everyone 6 months of age and older should get a flu vaccine by the end of October.

Flu vaccines will be available in our clinics shortly. We will post the date here when they are available. Patients of Anacortes Family Medicine and Fidalgo Medical Associates will be able to call to schedule a flu shot appointment once they are available. Flu vaccines are also available to the public at many local pharmacies or grocery stores (usually at no cost to you with health insurance).
